Just like you, I really love this pragmatic style and way of thinking. The "pragmatic programmer" is one of the best book I've ever read, and still an inspiration for me. Not only because of the content itself, but also, because the big challenge they faced beforehand, just 10 years before they wrote the first line of the book: How to re-invent software development with the best of the best methods? Pure. I like it.

Great article and summary of "Getting Real". This the first article I have read on your website. I found this from I forget who now on Twitter.

Thanks, for reminding me that I should re-read "Getting Real" while I'm getting ready to start building one of the many web applications I have being playing around with off and on for the last year or so.

I first am looking to get friends, family, and twitter followers to help me decide which one would be best to build.

Thanks, again and I now know what I will be reading this weekend.

Getting Real describes a truly great way to work on web projects. I think you brought the most important points up in this post.
