We have done a small redesign of the BSA homepage and expanded with width of the site. This lays the foundation for additional UI improvements throughout the app that we have been working on and will be releasing over time. There is another gem in this release that we will be announcing on Monday. It is temporarily hidden while we do some final testing over the weekend. So, this post / half-release is a bit of a teaser.
We decided to expand the width of the site based on our users usage stats. The extra width (assuming you have a resolution wider than 1024 px) will give us the flexibility we need to make the new stuff we have planned for 2010 look pretty. We also decided to move on from supporting IE6 on the main site (of course, we will support IE6 for the ad code). The reason for parting ways with our long time friend, IE6, is that less than 4% of total visits to the site are from IE6 and nearly 0 (yes, zero) of those visitors actually purchased advertising.
So, consider the new homepage a teaser for the release we have planned on Monday, and a sign of good things to come here at BSA :)
As always, we greatly appreciate feedback. Feel free to contact us via support@buysellads.com or me directly at todd@buysellads.com (I can already feel the spiders parsing my email address from this post and the spam flowing nicely into my inbox).
