Introducing our Newest Team Members

I am excited to introduce our newest team members who are joining us to make the magic happen at BSA. Protip: the magic is hidden behind sunglasses.

Kristina Bjoran, Blog Editor

Kristina Bjoran

First, I’d like to introduce Kristina Bjoran. Kristina will be joining us as our blog editor. We’ve struggled for a year to find a direction for our blog. We look forward to working closely with Kristina to coordinate compelling, relevant articles to help bring the publication to stellar standards.

A recent graduate of MIT’s Graduate Program in Science Writing, Kristina comes to us now while working as Community Manager at Udemy in San Francisco. Not only is she well versed in tech but she also can be found writing for some of our most esteemed publishers, such as Six Revisions. Oh, and I guess her writing for Technology Review and Wired Magazine is pretty cool too.

Ah, and I highly recommend following her on Twitter. She curates a side of the internet that always makes me laugh or scratch my head in amazement (which is probably why she’s a Klout authority on cats).

Jon Phillips, Advertiser Relations Manager

Jon Phillips

Second, we’re thrilled to have Jon Phillips fill our position of Advertiser Relations Manager. After reviewing nearly 70 candidates, we knew Jon was going to be a perfect fit from the moment we saw his application come in the door.

Jon is currently a publisher in the Yoggrt network on his personal blog. Aside from freelancing for real estate clients, he has built (and sold a few) well-known design niche sites such as Spyre Studios, Design Newz, and Freelance Folder.

We prize Jon’s involvement in the Design, Dev, and UX community as seen by his active critiques on his blog. Jon will be training with me, learning how Ad Packs and Yoggrt ticks. He is now helping me with the relationships I’ve built, make payments, work on the designs of the sites, and start new Ad Packs.

Matthew Kammerer, Strategic Accounts

Finally, I’d like to introduce myself, Matthew Kammerer—officially full time with BSA. That’s awkward, huh? I’ve worked with BuySellAds.com for three years, starting in the support and social media scene. I now am the product manager for our one ad per page networks, including Fusion Ads, Ad Packs, and Yoggrt. After graduating college last semester, I made the move to Cambridge to work full time and get cozy in our home office.

One of the pleasures of working at a small company is that I get to wear many hats. On any given day you may find me recruiting new hires, paying our publishers, recruiting new folks for our network, or helping build the best advertising campaign you could imagine. When I’m not calculating CPMs and CTRs, I focus on my other hobbies. I co-founded a leading UX publication called UX Booth and have an assortment of geckos that I raise and breed and even blog about. Yes, geckos.

Join me in welcoming these new wonderful faces. Want to get to know them more? Drop them a tweet or post in the comments below. Oh, and we’re hiring. :)
