Announcing The BuySellAds Google Chrome Extension

We have built a quick extension for Google Chrome that is a handy tool for BSA advertisers. The extension tells you, while you are browsing the web, if the website you are visiting has ad spots available for sale at BuySellAds. Here’s how it works:

  1. You will see a tiny BSA icon in your chrome toolbar
  2. If the website you are on has inventory available for sale at BSA, that icon will turn colors, to the BSA red:
  3. If the icon lights up and you click on it, it will show you what this publisher has available for sale:
  4. If the icon is grayed out, that means we don’t have inventory for the website at BSA. However, if you click on the icon then we’ll show you a quick form you can fill out that will prompt us to acquire inventory on that website for you:

So, it’s just a quick little plugin that many of our advertisers may find useful. It’s also a version 1. We’re experimenting with this to see how people use it and how useful it is. As we receive feedback, we’ll be working to bring it to other browsers and also integrate more functionality based on user feedback. I know that our team has a ton of ideas on how this could be even more useful, and I’m sure you do, too. Please don’t hesitate to send us those “It would be cool if the extension let me…” emails and we will gather feedback and work to improve the extension.

      not available for firefox yet, but yes, we do plan to build a firefox extension to match.

        More importantly, do you have plans for an iPhone app, or at least an API that would allow someone to make one? It would be great to be able to approve ads, request cashouts and check your balance easily on the go. (It’s a bit of a pain to pinch and zoom your way to the proper place on the BSA website whenever you get a “Creative needs approval” email when you’re away from a computer.)

    That’s nifty. I like that the icon changes color. Should hopefully make for an increase in advertisers. :)

    i think you need to have some other extensions which will show all the details about other stats as well like the origin as well…
