We’re Hiring! Strategic Accounts Manager Position Available

We’re looking for someone to be the second in command of our online marketplace (the largest such marketplace in the world).

What we’re looking for:

  • The publisher facing side of our company is currently manned by one employee who receives help from the other members of the team, but really needs a protege to help guide that entire side of the business. You will be part of a 4 person team within the company, a tight knit group that really knows how to get things done.
  • If you’re familiar with the basics of online advertising, either as an advertiser, or a publisher, that’s a plus, but it’s not required… because you soon will be.
  • You have to be able to write a damn good email. It sounds simple, but since that’s our primary mode of communication, it’s an important skill to have.
  • You need to be friendly and legitimately like getting to know people better.
  • We like self-starters, as we don’t have the time, or inclination, to micro-manage (that doesn’t mean we won’t give you all the support you need).

What you’d do:

  • We receive over 150 site applications a day, and only accept around 15. We do our best to automate ourselves out of a job, so this process is something we are making more streamlined every day. We need your ideas on how to make this even more efficient.
  • There are millions of high quality websites out there that we could sell ads for effectively, and we need someone to head our recruitment efforts, through any means necessary (whether that’s email, calls, sending T Shirts, or going to conferences and taking people out to lunch).
  • Optimizing! There are over 3,000 sites in our network, and we often give them recommendations on how to attract advertisers. You’ll directly communicate with our publishers, and also design guides, walkthroughs, or tutorials (with the help of our in-house graphic designers), to pre-empt any questions.
  • Anything and everything Publisher-facing will be your domain.

BuySellAds is technically based in Boston (and you’re welcome to work from our Boston office), but we also have several team members working in the Triangle, so you could join us in a co-working space, or work from home.
